Description

This premium Shu Pu’er belongs to the category “Gong Gumei” (工谷美), which translates as “Art of the Valley” – a sign of recognition of its exceptional quality. Made from selected raw materials from old trees in the Lincang region (Yunnan, China) and aged since 2016.

Features of tea:
– Form: Tightly pressed 357 g cake with a neat dome
– Aroma of dry leaf: Tart, with notes of dark chocolate, dried fruits and light smokiness
– Infusion color: Deep ruby-brown, with an oily sheen

Taste profile:
– First infusions: velvety texture, notes of walnut and dark honey dominate
– Development: shades of baked apple, cinnamon and light minerality appear
– Aftertaste: delicate fruity (prunes, figs) with a long sweetish trail

Brewing recommendations:
1. Traditional method (gongfu cha):
– 6-8 g per 120 ml
– Water 95 ° C
– The first 2 infusions for 5-7 seconds to “awaken” the tea
– Subsequent ones – increase the time by 3-5 seconds

2. Simplified method:
– 4 g per 200 ml
– Infuse for 2 minutes
– Withstands 5-6 brews

Effect and features:
– Energy: Soft but stable effect of “tea intoxication”
– Benefit: Promotes digestion, reduces the feeling of heaviness
– Seasonality: Ideal for the cold season
– Storage potential: Aging gracefully under the right conditions

Additional recommendations:
– To fully reveal the taste, we recommend pre-“waking up” the tea by placing it in a cup for 2-3 days
– Ideally combined with dried dates or dark chocolate
